I work in a public library, and every day has someone who demands special treatment, or feels the rules do not apply, or treats us shabbily ("I pay my taxes, therefore you work for me" mentality.) We want to tell these people how being nasty does not get you better service, but instead, we smile, remain polite, do our jobs and breathe a sigh of relief when the trouble-makers are gone. I hope never to be trapped in an elevator with one. Glad you were able to open his eyes. Thanks for sharing. --kd This was great. That can be really difficult to do in a public situation when staff are under huge pressure to be nice to the customers - but in truth a guest like this spoils the whole experience for everyone else so it is worth it in the end, well done!
